We are living an era that forecasts a
population increase living in a reduced surface of the geosphere due to sea
level rise, a challenge for resources without precedents in our society.
Given the opportunity to create a water
structure in the Charles River, we are able to explore the possibilities of inhabiting
the water at the same time that to provide spaces that inspire others. To do
so, we thought on an Archipelago of interventions that mimic environments conceived
to be in mainland, contributing with this to alternatives to today’s building
environment – primarily conceived on mainland.
These interventions will mix public space (leisure)
with the productivity needed to provide resources for the incoming population.
