Offshore Towers
New York Masterplan, USA

Offshore Towers is a masterplan to adopt the growing technological industry of New York while increasing the logistics and resiliency of the future Lower Manhattan. Erosion Urbanism presents an alternative urban planning to grow the atolls islands, thus increase the habitability of Kiribati. This is done through a common understanding between our living and natural environment. In this sense, landscape design is set to regenerate the ecosystem services provided by coral reefs and mangrove forests, reinforcing the existing atoll and even generating new land.

Regenerator
Hangzhou Masterplan, China

Alternative construction system that is organized and distributed like cells throughout the city. Such cells are elevated above the ground, to make way for the recovery of the wetlands. The cells should be translucent and permeable, without disrupting the natural cycles of the sun, air and water, which allow the natural regeneration of any ecosystem.

Mediterranean Metropolis
LAIA Lab, Barcelona

Some of the most demanded coastal cities are running out of space, something that emphasizes with the commonly mountainous topography that surrounds them.
